Thank you for your time and I appreciate your effort.
Scenario:
I have two Approved I-140s (both filed by same company).
• Filed I-140 & I-485 concurrently with a PD of Nov 2007 (Original Labor) - I-140 Approved and I-485 Pending
• Filed I-140 with PD March 2005 (Substitution Labor) - I-140 Approved.
Questions:
1. I would greatly appreciate if you can let me know what are my options and any relative information (Letter formats etc.)
2. Can Info-Pass work instead of writing to USCIS?
1) Send letters to the service center explaining your situation and the priority dates + 140 approval LIN#(NSC) or WAC# or whichever approval numbers you have. You need to stress that your dates are current and that your AOS applications have to be approved based on the current 140 (irrespective of which approved 140, the 485 apps were filed).
2) Send faxes same as the letter.
3) Call the NSC/TSC IOs. (If you reach the national customer service center, no luck).
4) Take Infopass.
One of the above options will work.

off the top of y head and based on what I've read, a D70 is well worth it, even from a D100. A D2H is now cheap too. With lots of Nikon glass the options are quite good. Even a Kodak SLR/n is a good buy.....

My attorney fee for 485 filing included only EAD and NOT AP, she was asking abt 500 $$ for each applicant, I wanted to do it myself as its a pretty easy process.
Is there a way to file for AP without the receipt number for 485? I wanted to file it under the old fee structure.
Also anybody knows how long it takes to process AP? probably i have to look at the USCIS processing times

Hello
I am on H1 and 3 months back i came to US.After one month i applied for SSN,but still didnt get that.
when i went to SS office for enquiry 1 week back, they told me that my immigration verification was not done yet. so i had to wait.
can anyone help me with this.
how many days will it took to complete the process??
is there any other way around........

It usually takes 8 weeks tops to complete (after all dig deeeeeeeep checks). Does your first & last name match on passport, 797 and I-94? - this is one of reasons for delay in issuing a SSN. My 2C

You need to have PT license to work. Every state has different rules, there is lot of paper work involved to sit for license exam. For Indians, mostly it was easy for Michigan, New york. For present scenario better check physicaltherapyforum.com, very good info avaliable

Hi All,
I need to travel urgently to India due to some family issue and my EAD is expiring in Aug 2010. I need to apply for my renewal before I fly out this Sunday since I will have to be in India for 30 days. Can I e file my application from here and send the supporting documentation by Saturday? If so, I want to make sure that if for some reason, I get a biometrics appt., while in India, how can I postpone it? and also there won't be any issues with my EAD renewal app since I will be India and My I 94 will change once I am back.

I have just gone thru March recording of IV lawyer call and the below caught my attention. Ms Susan mentioned that any company name change after I140 approval has to refile I 140. I am utterly confused as that particular scenario affect me and i would like to know what best course of action i can take at this point.
I filed LC and I 140 with company A
My I 140 got approved
Before i filed my I 485 my company changed its name
I asked my attorney at that time if we need to take any special action
Attorney said they can just add an amendment while applying for I 485 about name change and apply with approved I 140, which is with old company name.
I and my wife work on EAD for past 3 years and i am still employed with same company. I wonder which one of above attorney is correct and what i should do.
Does the fact that my I485 is pending for more than 180 days after approval of my I 140 will come to rescue in case of question about company name change (AC21)

Have you tried contacting your local congressman or senator's office? Many times, a request to take action on a pending case from a congressman's office has much better effect than a service request or infopass.

Man,
I am in a similar situation where Company B just filed for my extension based on approved I-140 from Company A. I have a 3 year extension thru Company A based on an approved I-140 petition from them. I hope my employer will not withdraw my I-140. FYI, I have not filed my I-485.
Now, what is the way out of your situation here? Can someone reply?

Hi,
We had been to Canada in Sep, 2003 for our Canadian residency stamping. While on our way back to San Francisco, US immigration did not stamp our passports or take back our I-94's. Prior to this trip we had been to India in March, 2003.
Now I am confused as to what should be our last date/port of entry to US? I-94's/passport stamp still indicates our March, 2003 trip and Our Canadian PR stamp does indicate date PR was stamped in Canada. But there's not other stamp/proof on passport for our entry to San Francisco.
Any pointers/suggestions?

Travel to contiguous territory such as Canada for a period of 30 days or less does not count as last Port of entry because they dont take your I-94 or stamp your passport. Therefore you have to put your Prior trip of March 2003.

Thanks for my previous response. I am on H1B and between projects. I have an offer to work for a couple of days for a company other than the one holding my H1B. They said they are not gonna report to the IRS as its an hourly job for 2 days and the number of hours are not going to accumulate enough for the IRS. But they need my SSN or tax-payer ID to run their payroll. I am gonna receive my dues as a simple check (like a rebate check with just the total amount showing up & NOT a paystub). Please let me know if I can work for them or not.

some where i read in the forum if we leave the country without the approval of ap our 485 status will be abonded.

Hello, my application was filed on July 11 and reached USCIS on 12 th (TSC). Speaking to an officer at USCIS I found that my application has been rejected on Sep 11, 2007 due to missing filing fee. He said, I can try re-filing my case with that letter they sent, a letter explaining the situation (guess an apology letter from our end) and a new check. But, he did mention honoring the application would be at the discretion of the immigration officer.
I still haven't received the rejection letter yet. Has anyone been through a similar situation. If so, can you please tell me if they would honor my re-filing ? Please let me know your thoughts.
