Sharing the love: Jenson Button celebrates his 200th Grand Prix with girlfriend Jessica Michibata and teammate Lewis Hamilton

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Group hug: Jenson Button celebrates his Hungarian Grand Prix win with teammate Lewis Hamilton and girlfriend Jessica Michibata at the Hungaroring race track in Mogyorod

After winning the Hungary Grand Prix and driving in his 200th Grand Prix, Jenson Button was on top of the world today.

And after clinching pole position in Budapest, the 31-year-old was certainly sharing the love as he joined his girlfriend and teammate Lewis Hamilton for a group hug.

As he joined the McLaren team for a group celebration, Button and Michibata were pulled together by an over-enthusiastic Hamilton.

One big happy McLaren family: Button was joined by his father John (front left) while Hamilton was accompanied by his brother Nicholas (back left)

With Button still in his white driving uniform, he was surrounded by the McLaren team, Michibata and his father John all wearing the familiar red McLaren T-shirts.

Despite being surrounded by dozens of people, affectionate Button was spotted sharing a few kissing with his stunning Japanese model girlfriend.

After pipping Germany's Sebastian Vettel to the post, Button's win is his second of the season.

He wrote on his Twitter page: 'Woohoo!! I think that win deserves a little celebration! What do u think!?

'Big love to the whole of #TeamButton for all there support. #winners ;-))

Team effort: Button celebrates with the whole McLaren Mercedes team after his victory

'My fans rock!! Thanks for all your lovely congrats messages. Enjoy the summer break and we'll come back and do the same at Spa! ;-).'

Hamilton himself didn't too badly, ending up in fourth place, but was clearly still feeling high from winning the Spanish Grand Prix the previous weekend.

He said today: 'Jenson was pushing me hard the whole race and the better man won today.

'I was struggling a lot with the graining on my left front tyres. I don't know whether that was my fault by pushing too hard....

Una Healy, Katherine Kelly and Kirsty Gallacher lend some celebrity glamour to Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall's wedding

By EMILY SHERIDAN

Making a statement: Singer Una Healy (left) wore a floral bandeau dress and tilted hat, while actress Katherine Kelly wore a pale pink asymmetrical number at the wedding of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall yesterday

At the extravagant April wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Westminster Abbey was full of royals, heads of state and politicians.

But at the smaller scale nuptials of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall yesterday, it was somewhat of a more glamorous guest list with stars from the world of pop, TV and sport garnering attention.

Leading the famous faces in the pews of Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh were soap star Katherine Kelly, The Saturdays' singer Una Healy and TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher.

Interesting fascinator: TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, pictured with husband Paul Sampson, wore a multi-coloured dress, nude heels and unusual jade fascinator

And of course, there was plenty of representation from the world of sport, with both Tindall's teammates past and present and Phillips' colleagues from the riding world in attendance.

One of the first to arrive was Coronation Street actress Kelly, who went for a Seventies-look in a pale pink asymmetrical ankle-length dress by James Stewart Couture and a striking orange H'atelier hat and oversized clutch bag.

Top heavy: Irish singer Healy wore a tilted champagne hat created by Philip Treacy while Kelly opted for an eye-catching wide-brimmed orange hat with fuchsia bow by H'atelier

Kelly, 31, is an old schoolfriend of Tindall, with her parents living close to his father Phil and mother Linda in Yorkshire.

She said recently: 'I went to school in Wakefield with Mike. Our parents live in the same village and we’ve stayed really good mates.'

Going for a much sexier look was Irish singer Healy, 29, in a black floral-print bandeau dress and white and mocha peep-toe heels.

She accesorised her tight dress with an oversized saucer hat by milliner Philip Treacy, pale pink pashmina and a nude clutch.

Dapper: Healy's date was her boyfriend and Tindall's teammate Ben Foden

Healy attended with her boyfriend, Northampton Saints and England player Ben Foden - a teammate of Tindall.

Ahead of the nuptials, she wrote of her excitement at being invited on Twitter: 'Thanks to my stylists Frank Strachan and Lloyd Powell for sorting me a Philip Treacy Hat for The Royal Wedding tomorrow!

'Just about to take off for Edinburgh with Ben, really excited for the weekend.'

Well heeled: TV presenter Natalie Pinkham (left) in red, and Olympic skeleton racer Amy Williams in pale pink, both wore nude heels

Sky Sports presenter Gallacher, who wed rugby player Paul Sampson last year, found her pretty multi-coloured dress overshadowed by her unusual jade fascinator.

Gallacher has become good friends with the bride thanks to their respective spouses, who were previously teammates for Bath.

The TV presenter even became one of the lucky few to see Zara's Stewart Parvin dress before the big day.

The 35-year-old said: 'Zara's so cool, she's going to look amazing, she's chosen a beautiful dress.

'Mike and Zara are brilliant together. She's so good for him, she's so chilled out and he's quite laid back as well so they fit together really nicely.

'Obviously she's really into sport and he loves the life they lead together with the horses and they've got lots of dogs so it's lovely.'

Kate the royal recycler strikes again as she breaks out her favourite Diane Von Furstenberg dress for Zara's pre-wedding party

By SARAH BULL

Royal recycler: Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, opted for a green Diane Von Furstenberg dress for Zara Phillips' pre-wedding party last night which she had previously worn to an event in Los Angeles this month

As the Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of the future King of England, Kate literally has the world at her feet.

And, after establishing herself as a fashion icon, designers are constantly falling over themselves in a bid to dress the world's most famous royal.

But as she tried to decide what to wear for Zara Phillips' pre-wedding party yesterday evening, Kate broke out an old favourite in the form of a chic green Diane Von Furstenberg dress which she wore previously at a reception during her and William, the Duke of Cambridge's, tour of Los Angeles earlier this month.

Stylish: The green silk 'Maja' dress featured a low V back and brushed gold buttons along the seam

However, in an attempt to make the outfit look different, Kate teamed it with a pair of black patent heels - in contrast to the nude court shoes she accessorised it with last time.

The $398 silk 'Maja' dress, from the designer's new collection, featured a green sash belt and a deep V back, complete with brushed gold buttons running down the seam.

It's not the first time Kate has decided to recycle one of her outfits for another royal engagement.

Something blue: Kate at The Duke of Edinburgh's 90th Birthday service in June, and, right, wearing the same coat dress in 2009

Earlier this year, she was seen wearing the same blue jacquard coat dress to the Duke of Edinburgh's 90th birthday party, after previously breaking it out back in 2009.

Kate also wore the same black and white dress she had previously worn to a nightclub back in 2007 as she attended a friend's wedding in June,

And, as she began her royal tour of Canada with William earlier this month, Kate made the decision to wear the white Reiss dress she had donned for one of her official engagement photographs ahead of the pair's wedding in April.

You can't have too much of a good thing: The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in Ottawa on her Canadian royal tour in the same white Reiss dress that she wore for her official engagement portrait in November (right)

It was reported earlier this year that the Duchess had told a friend she didn't want to be a 'clothes horse', and was intending to wear her outfits more than once.

She was quoted as telling a friend: 'Times are tough; I cannot be expected to wear a new outfit for every royal engagement. I am not a fashion model.'

The friend also apparently said: 'The Duchess is aware that people are struggling in the current economic climate.

'Changing outfits for every engagement is simply not practical nor affordable and would send out the wrong message.'

All aboard! Kate joins the party on the Royal Yacht Britannia on the eve of another big wedding... as Zara and Mike enjoy one last kiss

By DEBORAH ARTHURS, EMILY ALLEN, REBECCA ENGLISH and REBECCA EVANS

Happy: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge laugh as they leave the Royal Yacht Britannia following a pre-wedding cocktail party hosted by Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stole the show last night as they boarded the Royal Yacht Britannia for a pre-wedding cocktail party ahead of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall's wedding.

They were among scores of guests invited on board the vessel for drinks ahead of the couple's big day today.

The newlyweds looked a picture of happiness as they mingled with guests and family members - including Prince Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Zara and England Rugby star Mike did not hold back expressing their clear affection for each other, posing for one last kiss in front of well-wishers following their wedding rehearsal at Edinburgh's Canonbury Kirk yesterday.

Zara flashes some leg as she negotiates the steps on board the yacht before being guided down by fiancé Mike Tindall who looked smart in a blue suit and cream tie

Zara, who arrived at the rehearsal wearing flip-flops, jeans and a hoodie, swiftly transformed herself in a £500 tie-dye silk dress from the U.S. label Alice and Olivia for the evening celebration - although it did reveal a white mark where he bikini top had been.

Once on board the yacht, she was spotted laughing and joking with friends - many of whom were rugby player friends of her fiancé.

The couple were also joined by the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Zara's brother Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn - and of course the bride's mother Princess Anne and her father Captain Mark Phillips.

Guests were photographed in dinner suits and evening suits sipping pink champagne as the sun set over Edinburgh.

Princess Beatrice looked stunning in a purple dress and belt, while Princess Eugenie opted for a red number.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked striking in a bright green dress which she teamed with black heels.

The yacht, permanently moored in the historic port of Leith, served the Queen for 44 years - although she did not attend the festivities.

During that time Britannia carried the monarch and the Royal Family on 968 official voyages, from the remotest of the South Seas to the deepest divides of Antarctica.

Zara's parents honeymooned on the ship, cruising the West Indies in 1973.

During the pre-wedding rehearsal Zara - the Queen's eldest granddaughter - was joined by Zara's father, Captain Mark Phillips, and his second wife, Sandy Pflueger, and Zara's brother Peter Phillips.

Earlier, the bride had spent the day putting her own final touches in place.

She spent the afternoon with sister-in-law Autumn Phillips at The Balmoral hotel where she is staying in Edinburgh's city centre ahead of the wedding ceremony.

Kapow! Meet Roger, the Salford superhero - a gardener by day who after dark transforms himself into Knight Warrior

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Kickass: Roger has spent the past ten months breaking up fights and tackling anti-social behaviour on the streets of Salford. 'I just want to do good in the world, that's all,' he says

By day he is a mild-mannered gardener - but when night falls, Roger Hayhurst turns into crime-fighting superhero Knight Warrior.

The 19-year-old has spent the past ten months walking the streets of Salford, Greater Manchester, as his alter-ego, breaking up fights and tackling anti-social behaviour.

Roger - who dresses in a custom-made £200 blue-and-black lycra costume which his mum helped him buy from a firm in America - says his only special power is a supernatural desire to make the world a better place.

Familiar? Roger's antics are reminiscent of the Only Fools and Horses episode where Del Boy and Rodney, dressed as Batman and Robin for a fancy dress party, inadvertently end up in a crime-fighting situation

He said: 'When people see me coming up it does tend to stun them into silence. I just carry on trying to get them to calm down, and eventually most of them do.

'If I think things are getting a bit hairy, I just back off and phone the police.
They know what I am doing and have been very kind to me.

'Some of my friends think I am a bit odd, but all I want to do is try and get people to like each other. I just want to do good in the world, that's all.'

Roger - a former Moorside High pupil from Swinton - says his main aim is to sort out rows between people coming out of pubs or simply fighting on the streets.

Roger, who lives with mum Jennifer, 61, and granddad Alfred, 91, also hands out clothing and food parcels to the homeless in Manchester city centre.

Jennifer said she was always 'slightly worried' when her son went out - usually between 9pm-2am, at least three times a week.

But she added: 'His absolute genuineness is his best defence. He is one of the kindest young men I know.'

Schoolgirl bullied about her appearance has the last laugh after winning modelling contract

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Last laugh: Ellie Burton has gone from bullied schoolgirl to billboard model

A schoolgirl who took up modelling after she was bullied about her appearance has landed a modelling contract.

Ellie Burton, 14, was persuaded to take up modelling by her mother after a group of cruel school bullies left her with low self-esteem.

The teenager signed up with a local modelling agency and was stunned when she was invited to take part in a casting for Marks & Spencer.

No self-esteem: Ellie Burton was taunted by bullies who made her feel ugly

Ellie beat hundreds of other youngsters and impressed judges so much that she was invited to model the department store's Back To School range.

Her face is now featured on billboards across the country and Ellie now hopes to make a career as a model.

She said: 'What the bullies said was really hurtful. I had no self-esteem.

Success: Ellie Burton beat the bullies and is modelling for Marks and Spencer

'People told me I was pretty enough to be a model with my corkscrew curls but I had no confidence and didn't believe them.

My mother persuaded me to try out at our local modelling agency. She said I had nothing to lose but I never expected this to happen.

'There were hundreds of boys and girls at the casting. Some of the girls were amazing looking. It was scary, but I had such a great time.

Last laugh: One of Ellie Burton's modelling shots

'I realise that only amazing models can make it big but I am going to try. I want to do really well at school too as I need a back up career.

'Everything got better when I moved school. Now I have a great group of friends and my modelling is really exciting.' Ellie, who lives with her mother Debbie and step father Stuart Parry, who run a B&B in Cromer, Norfolk, was bullied during the last year of primary school.

The abuse was so bad that she had to move schools and the bullies' cruel jokes left her unhappy with low self-esteem.

Ellie's mother Debbie urged her to build up her confidence through modelling and she signed up with Sandra Reynolds' Norwich and London agency.

She appeared in an advertising campaign for her local shopping centre in Norwich before being invited to try out for Marks & Spencer earlier this year.

Since landing the top contract Ellie is doing well at Aylsham High School, Norfolk, and has managed to put the bullying behind her.

Ellie added: 'My face was on buses for the shopping centre campaign and now there is a huge cardboard cut out of me at Marks & Spencer in London.

'My friends scream with excitement when they see me but then the next day everything goes back to normal. I am very grounded.

'I don't know what is next for me because modelling can be up and down. I hope someone will want me for another campaign.'

Up, up and away! The spectacular photos of world record-breaking balloonists taking to the sky

By LEE MORAN

Record breakers: The magical moment a staggering 343 hot air balloons took to the air at the same time

It took a lot of hot air - and a little bit of patience - but 343 hot air balloonists have finally broken the world record for taking off at the same time.

The high-flyers' mass ascent at the 12th Lorraine World Air Balloon Festival, in Chambley-Bussieres, France, should have taken place on Monday.

But bad weather put paid to their plans, meaning they had to postpone their lift-off until today.

And they're off! The balloons came in all shapes and sizes and from across the globe for the world record breaking event

Luckily the elements held out and organisers of one of the largest balloon festivals in the world were left with huge smiles on their faces.

It comes two years after the festival set the previous record for largest mass ascent when 326 balloons took to the skies.

The event, attended by 14 countries, featured a number of Brits who had made the short hop over the Channel to take part.

Skeletal, frail and hours from death: The haunting face of baby Mihag given 50% chance of survival after mother walks for a week to refugee camp

By WIL LONGBOTTOM

Desperate: Seven-month-old Mihag Gedi Farah weighs just 7lbs and was hours from death after arriving at a field hospital in Dadaab, Kenya

Cradled in his mother's arms, this is the face of a skeletal seven-month-old baby starving to death in the Horn of Africa.

Weighing just seven pounds - as much as a newborn - Mihag Gedi Farah stares wide-eyed, his skin pulled taut over his ribs and tiny arms.

Mihag is just one of 800,000 children who officials warn could die across the region in the worst drought for decades.

Skeletal: Doctors have given Mihag just a 50/50 chance of survival. He should weigh three times what he does

Aid workers are rushing to bring help to dangerous and previously unreached regions of drought-ravaged Somalia.

Many starving children and adults remain in the country far from the feeding tubes and doctors in field hospitals in refugee camps in Kenya and Ethiopia.

Sirat Amine, a nurse-nutrionist with the International Rescue Committee, said Mihag has just a 50-50 chance of survival.

The little boy should weigh three times what he does now.

Famine: Ali Omar, three, cries in anguish at Bandar Hospital in Mogadishu. Around 3.7million people face starvation in Somalia because of the worst drought in decades

Human catastrophe: A malnourished child waits to be admitted to Banadir Hospital in Mogadishu. Aid agencies have been unable to gain access to some of the worst-hit people in Somalia

Urgent aid: A baby lies under a mosquito net at a field hospital in the town of Dadaab, Kenya

His mother, Asiah Dagane, said: 'In my mind, I'm not well. My baby is sick. In my head, I am also sick.'

A nurse at the camp said Mihag was 'severely, severely malnourished'.

She added: 'We never tell the mother, of course, that their baby might not make it.
We try to give them hope.'

Desperation: Somali women and children have been forced to walk for days to reach aid camps in Kenya and Ethiopia

Mrs Dagane brought Mihag and four siblings from Kismayo to Kenya after all their sheep and cattle died. Their journey took a week.

Tens of thousands of Somalis are fleeing the starvation, many of them on foot, from Kismayo and the capital Mogadishu.

Plight: Women line up to receive food-aid rations at an IDP camp near Mogadishu

The UN estimates that more than 11 million people in East Africa are affected by the drought, with 3.7 million in Somalia among the worst-hit because of the ongoing civil war in the country.

Somalia's prolonged drought became a famine because neither the government nor many aid agencies can operate in areas controlled by Al Qaeda-linked militants.

Aid organisations including the UN World Food Program have not been able to access areas under the control of the al-Shabab militants, who have killed humanitarian workers.

Not enough: Used food tins are stacked up at the International Rescue Committee camp in Dadaab, Kenya. The UN has said it needs $300 million in the next three months to tackle the famine

The UN has said it will airlift emergency rations later this week to try to reach at least 175,000 of the 2.2 million Somalis still without aid.

That operation in four districts in southern Somalia could begin tomorrow, but transportation is a major obstacle because land mines have cut off key roads and a landing strip has fallen into disrepair.

The UN wants to gather $1.6 billion in the next 12 months to sustain the aid effort in the Horn of Africa - $300 million in the next three months.
