Dinner for...

"Where should we go to eat?" is a question that we get asked a lot at our stores. Fashion & food are two things we know. We all have our go-to spots around the neighborhood, so we compiled a list of our West Village dinner favs that you can be sure to catch one of us at.

ALTA. 64 W 10th Street. This spot is great for no-brainer tapas & sangria. We’re dying to grab all the Jessie James ladies & try their $450 group menu... you get every dish they have! Watch out for the sangria - its delicious, but deadly!

BARBUTO. 775 Washington Street.
The open garage doors of this former warehouse space are decidedly summer in NYC. The open air atmosphere makes you feel like you’re on a patio in Italy - so sit back & enjoy a drink at the bar before you chow down. The antipasti make excellent entrées for a light meal.

BUDDAKAN. 75 9th Ave, Chelsea Market.
Rarely does Manhattan take direction from Philly, but, in the case of restaurateur Stephen Starr, we will take it! With light fixtures the size of fuel-efficient vehicles, Buddakan doesn’t scrimp on the décor, but the food is the main star here. There are traditional options, as well as inventive dishes. The Cantonese spring rolls are one of their specialties.

DE SANTOS. 139 W 10th Street.
This address, once home to Janis Joplin, still honors the legend with a basement room simply called ‘Janis’. The restaurant itself offers great dining options either in-doors or in their garden outback. You can also sit at the bar for a drink & an easy bite. Chatting up the bartenders wearing white tees & suspenders takes the sting out of long workday, too…

HUDSON CLEARWATER. 447 Hudson Street.
Whether you want a quiet romantic dinner or just a place to hide away after a long day, this ‘hidden door’ gem will surely deliver with the rustic American menu & variety of wine & cocktails. We suggest the ‘Lolita’ cocktail; it’s sweet but refreshing with elderflower liquor & prosecco.

MOLE. 57 Jane Street.
Mole is casual Mexican with a great happy hour. Order some fish tacos & margaritas to unwind after a long day.
P.S. Don’t forget to hit the ATM, Mole is cash only!

MORANDI. 211 Waverly Place.
Meatballs & wine al fresco? Done & done.

YERBA BUENA. One Perry Street.
Yerba Buena offers reasonable priced Latin food & great cocktails, so it makes an easy spot to pop in on your way home from work.  The yerba mate plant - inspiration for the restaurant – is supposed to cure what ails you. The cocktails & yummy food here sure cure what ails us!
