I have a question, I am working with my GC sponsoring employer, filed I485 during July '07. My I-140 approved during 2007. My company has applied for H1B extension (for 3 years based on approved I140) recently. Please note that this 3 year extension will stretch beyond my 6 year (H1B) period.
After the approval for 3 years, can I transfer the H1B to another employer? Since this extension is based on approved I140, is it legal to transfer that H1B to a different employer? (I have used the terms ‘extension’ and ‘transfer’ just for understanding purpose. I am aware that I will be getting new H1B (non-cap) every time).
I have EAD and AP but wondering why I can not transfer H1B?
I am getting different opinion for the above scenario; can somebody shed some light? Those who said it is not possible pointed that this 3 year extension is employer specific since it is based on approved 1140. yes you can. Since your PD is >365 days old. It does not matter that the I-140 was from a different employer, its important that its not been revoked until now. You dont need any active support from that employer (no verification letter etc). Just some proof of your PD being >365 days old, and an I-140 approved for that labor. (copy of I-140 approval notice perhaps)

Who is forcing you to read a thread? If you want to read something specific to your interest, there is a nice website I found recently. It is called 'Google'. All you have to do is type a keyword and Google will give you back thousands of websites of your interest for free. Isn't this amazing?

If your I-485 was filed in that mad rush on July 2007, you *have* to pay renewal fees for EAD/AP every single time. Remember, USCIS had extended July 07 filings acceptance date till August 17,2007 due to their own screw up. Here on or before 30th July 2007 means 17th August, 2007. FYI, my I-485 was filed on 17th August, 2007.
But if you have filed your I-485 after that and the filing fee for that was around $1000 ($1010 I believe ), then you get free renewal of EAD/AP. When I e-filed the EAD for my wife, it made the fee calculation for me, so it's hard to go wrong there.

You can just drag and drop the icon you want into Blend or explicitly add it via the Projects panel :)
Your question on connecting to an XML data source is interesting because there are several ways of doing this. One approach is by using Linq and just parsing the output.

Did you also mail them other supporting documents such as:
copy of current I-94
copy of I-485 receipt
DL/PP first two pages etc?
These are all mandatory supporting documents to be mailed.
I just got the RFE for the I-131 and they just asked for two pictures.
I applied online and the asked me not to send anything, so now they requested these pics.
I already sent them, so hopefully I'll get my travel document soon!

I am working for company A under H1-B visa and my PERM was approved early this year and my I-140 (EB2) is pending. I summitted I-485 last week since the PD is current again. Almost the same time, I moved to another department in the same company because of company reconstruction. The job seems to be having different requirements(>50% difference). I have a couple of questions:
1. Within how long I need to inform my company lawyer and then USCIS that my job changed within the same company?
2. What are the concequences if I do not inform my company laywer about my job change? Will USCIS know this in the future and deny my I-140 and I-485?
3. Will my pending I-140 get denied since my job requirement changed (if my company lawyer inform USICS)?
4. What are the possible outcomes for my I-485 under this job change situation?
5. Is that possible that I just stay there as nothing happened and wait for USCIS response to my I-140 and I-485?
6. What can be done in order to avoid a new PERM and new I-140? I really don't want to start all over again since who knows what the PD will be after Oct. this year...

Is copy of approved I140 required for filing ?
Will just having a receipt notice of I140 do? My 140 is approved but I don't have the approval only the copy of the receipt notice.

At this time, which category is most benefitial to us? EB3 from March 2005 or EB2 from July 2007?

For every IV member that gets their GC, would it be too much to ask them to contribute say at least $100/- ? May be this can become a norm and the starting point for an "IV Alumni" :)

All I am saying is that this approach could hurt more than it may help.
Yes...I respect the volunteer. But still we need money. What is the source for that. I am not saying that I am going to contribute everymonth. Whenever possible I am going to. Otherwise just keep going and not going to whine about that.

Even as recently as this week, Congress has passed some immigration provisions that has been added to other major bills and Obama has signed them into law. I do not believe that Hispanic Caucus is simply blocking every immigration legislation until CIR- that's just BS.
